EL MAGO POP LEADS A CULTURAL REVOLUTION IN BARCELONA AND AROUND THE WORLD

17.12.2025

On December 10, 2025, the team of El Mago Pop, accompanied by major stars and special guests, presented an event in which they reviewed their journey at the Teatre Victòria over the past five years and announced their plans for the future.

Between 2019 and 2025, the activity of El Mago Pop generated an estimated economic impact of between €1.008 and €1.071 billion in Barcelona and Madrid, placing this artistic project on par with the world’s major cultural events. During these years, Nothing Is Impossible has moved more than three million spectators, breaking attendance and box office records in Barcelona, Madrid, and Broadway, and establishing itself as one of the most beloved theatrical productions in history.

Following this success, Antonio Díaz made a decision that would shape the future of illusionism: to experience Nothing Is Impossible live, audiences must come to Barcelona. The show will be presented only three months a year at the Teatre Victòria, making each season a unique event and strengthening the bond between the artist’s magic and the stage that nurtured it. The city thus becomes the world capital of illusionism, a place where fantasy and reality intertwine in every performance.

But the magic doesn’t stop with Nothing Is Impossible. When Mar i Cel announced its farewell, Antonio Díaz felt that such an iconic musical could not be left in the past. He therefore acquired the rights to the production, ensuring that this essential piece of Catalan theatre will continue to move audiences at the Teatre Victòria. Based on the text by Àngel Guimerà, with music by Albert Guinovart and lyrics by Xavier Bru de Sala, Mar i Cel has already touched more than 1.5 million spectators with a timeless story about love, intolerance, and cultural clashes.

The creative drive of El Mago Pop has not gone unnoticed internationally. Andrew Lloyd Webber, one of the most influential composers of all time, has expressed his interest in collaborating with Antonio Díaz, opening the door to future projects capable of surprising global audiences and uniting two distinct creative worlds.

Furthermore, the Teatre Victòria is consolidating its role as a European cultural hub, becoming the home of the BroadwayWorld Europe Awards, an annual recognition of the best European theatre that will attract artists, creators, and theatre lovers from across the continent.

And Antonio Díaz’s ambition continues to grow: for the first time, magic will leap into major stadiums. El Mago Pop will debut a unique show at the Santiago Bernabéu, becoming the first illusionist in the world to launch an international stadium tour, bringing illusion to an unprecedented scale and marking the start of the largest magic show ever created.
