ANTONIO DÍAZ, EL MAGO POP, GUINNESS RECORD FOR THE MOST SUCCESSFUL ARTIST ON BROADWAY
20.06.2024
Antonio Díaz, EL MAGO POP, has broken the record at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in New York, surpassing Bruce Springsteen and Hugh Jackman, becoming the highest-grossing individual artist in Broadway history.
Last summer, Diaz became number one show on Broadway, grossing $2,717,000 in its final week of performances at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre. This achievement not only made him the highest-grossing European illusionist in the world, but also the highest-grossing Broadway artist, breaking historical records in the legendary theater where stars such as Fred Astaire, Sigourney Weaver, Samuel L. Jackson and Marlon Brando have performed.
This year, the illusionist continued his streak of success with his show 'Nada es Imposible – Broadway Edition' at the Teatre Victòria in Barcelona. Night after night, the "sold out" sign hung on the door, attracting 3 million spectators and establishing itself as the number one show in the city's history.
